AGENDA

TREE TIME CHI KUNG
SUNDAY WORKSHOP with RAQUEL JESUS
13 April 10.30-12.30

Together with the Spring, I am glad to share one more Chi Kung workshop in Muiderberg. It will be about the EIGHT PIECES OF THE BROCADE.

You will learn the poems or songs of each piece and I will guide you through the structural layer of the exercises.

As a set of stretches and energy cultivation practices, that revolve around the hips and the spine, we will focus more on these.

Registration: treetime-chikung@mailbox.org (only a few places available)

FERMENTATION WORKSHOP
11 April 2015
Dalfsen

Why do I love fermentation? It's the BUBBLES. Bubbles are simply irresistible. When I see or hear bubbles in my fermentation jars and pots, I am humbled by the great vitality of living cultures. Bubbles uplift my mood. Make me dream. And give me hope - because it’s a reminder that there's a choice in the way one can influence it's environment. Your cabbage for example, can become a delicious and nutritious kraut or decompose into slime. Bubbling fermentation jars reflect to me the ability of creating life-enhancing environments so that good things can grow and thrive. People everywhere had done this for millennia.

On the 11 April join me and Cathelijn from Eetbaar Paradijs for a fermentation workshop. We are thrilled to welcome you into the bubbling atmosphere of ferments- in our foods, in our guts and in our gardens.

Places limited - register via Eetbaar Paradijs or myself: treetime-chikung@mailbox.org.

for who?
This course is open to everyone, independent of previous experience with chi kung

The weekly lessons consist on a careful craft between still and dynamic exercises. We adjust ourselves to the context present at the moment of practice, such as weather, seasonal changes, phase of life, place, transitions, etc. While maintaining a stable-yet-flexible frame of exercises: the eight still postures (zhan zhuang) and the 'eight pieces of brocade' (ba duan jin).

Apparently unrelated and many times conflicting with each other, we cultivate harmony between opposites: stillness and movement, stability and change, open and close, internal and external. What binds these two together, is ‘chi'.

During our chi kung lessons, you are guided through simple Taoist exercises, with deep effects in your body, energy and mind. I encourage you to integrate what you learn into your daily life - so that to better support your movements, posture and directions out-of-the lesson context.

Please email me about your participation and interest. You participation is definite upon payment via bank transference to: NL64 TRIO 0198 3703 85 t.n.v. R. Jesus, o.v.v. Monday chi kung. After payment, I will send you all the necessary information for accessing the online chi kung weekly streaming and preparation details.

Every Sunday before our meeting, you will receive one email with some content and inspiration for the coming Monday lesson.
